Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. has selected international technology group ANDRITZ to supply a new recovery boiler for its pulp mill in Ishinomaki, Japan. The scope of supply includes advanced automation and digitalization solutions for maximum use of the boiler’s potential.
Valmet has received its first order from Papertech Industries Co., Ltd. for a comprehensive automation package to improve production quality and operational efficiency at their production site in Bangladesh.
Valmet is to supply two fine papermaking lines with related automation systems and services to a customer in China. The papermaking lines will produce uncoated woodfree grades and start-ups are scheduled from late 2026 to early 2027. Valmet has previously delivered multiple other technologies such as complete paper and board making lines to the same customer.
Runtech Systems delivered a web stabilization improvement project to Visy. The delivery to Gibson Island PM8 included RunPro Web Stabilizers for single- and double-felted drying sections and EVst pocket ventilators. Stabilizer high-release nozzles are fed with RunPro Turbo Compressors to create effective vacuum levels on sheet release point of top dryers. In addition, tail threading was updated into ropeless after drying section with RunShooter technology.
UPM Adhesive Materials, formerly known as UPM Raflatac, is investing in a new, state-of-the-art coating line and other facility and material handling upgrades in its label material factory in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This investment will significantly enhance the factory’s capabilities, quality and efficiency. Additionally, it will increase annual production capacity, enabling UPM Adhesive Materials to better serve its customers and accelerate growth in the Southeast Asian market.
Minhan Paper Joint Stock Company has successfully started up a new OCC (Old Corrugated Containers) line supplied by ANDRITZ to its mill in Van Lam, Hung Yen Province, Vietnam. This start-up strengthens Minhan’s position in the growing Vietnamese packaging market.
Chung Hwa Pulp Corporation has awarded Andritz an order to supply environmentally leading chemical recovery technologies for its pulp mill in Hualien, Taiwan. The start-up is scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.

Valmet will deliver key pulp mill technology to Shandong Sun Paper’s new Yandian pulp mill in the Shandong province in China. Valmet’s delivery includes cooking and fiberline, a recovery boiler, and ash crystallization. The scope also includes analyzers and measurements for fiber line as well as an optimizer and safety related systems for the recovery boiler. The new mill will produce 600,000 tonnes of pulp per year and is scheduled to start up during the last quarter of 2026.
Nine Dragons Paper, has successfully started up a pulp mill supplied by ANDRITZ at its new integrated pulp and paper production plant in Hubei Jianli, China. The new state-of-the-art mill includes world-leading process technology and production equipment.

Yueyang Forest and Paper Company Ltd. has commissioned ABB paper machine drives and laboratory testing systems for a comprehensive paper mill upgrade in China. As part of the multi-phase investment project, a new machine in Yueyang, Hunan Province, will produce up to 450,000 tons of fine paper per year.
