Klingele Paper & Packaging is expanding its presence in the Limburg region: with a larger logistics and service site for Klingele Plus GmbH, the group is laying the groundwork for further growth, modern processes, greater sustainability, and enhanced supply security. Construction began back in April, and completion along with the relocation from the current site in Villmar is planned for mid-2027.
On a roughly 25,000-square-meter plot in Limburg-Staffel, around 6,000 square meters of operational space and about 1,200 square meters of office space are being built. Construction started in April 2026, and commissioning – along with the associated replacement of the current site in Villmar-Aumenau – is scheduled for mid-2027. Work on the shell construction is currently underway, following completion of the earthworks.
The technical centerpieces of the new site include a 17-meter-high high-bay warehouse and a fully automated conveyor system. This gives Klingele the foundation for more efficient processes at Klingele24 – Klingele's e-commerce offering for standard products and customized packaging solutions – while addressing the growing demands placed on logistics and infrastructure.
Sustainability as an integral part of the investment
The new building meets the KfW-40 standard – a funding category defined by KfW Bank – for particularly low energy demand. This goes well beyond the legal minimum requirements for energy efficiency, combining economic performance with responsible resource management. The energy concept is further complemented by large-scale photovoltaic systems. For Klingele, the site represents another building block in a long-term investment strategy aimed at securing and expanding the company's future viability.
With the new building, Klingele is securing the long-term viability of its Limburg-region site for employees and customers alike.

A clear commitment to the Limburg site
With this new construction, Klingele is reaffirming its commitment to the Limburg region. The current site has been sold and will continue to be used until the new building is completed. Going forward, the new site will offer better transport connections – including good access to public transit – more efficient logistics operations, and modern workplaces.
