SMAGUA, the International Water, Irrigation and Environment Exhibition, held its second Organising Committee meeting in Zaragoza on June 17, confirming strong momentum ahead of the February 16–18, 2027 edition at Feria de Zaragoza.
Commercial performance is already impressive: the show has secured 82% of its 2025 direct exhibitors, with 19% representing new companies. Exhibition space has reached 91% of the 2025 footprint, with average floor space per exhibitor up 8%, prompting the opening of additional halls to accommodate further growth. International delegations from China, Turkey, Denmark and Switzerland are confirmed, alongside buyers and distributors from over 26 countries.
The 2027 edition introduces a restructured sector classification across nine major areas, new turnkey stand designs, a redesigned website, a mobile app and a dedicated digital exhibitor platform.
Notably for the paper industry, SMAGUA will once again run concurrently with SPAPER, the International Pulp, Paper and Board Machinery & Equipment Exhibition, maximising cross-sector business opportunities for visitors and exhibitors alike.
