SCA has appointed Klas Nilsson as its new SVP Sustainability and Communications. Klas will assume the position in the autumn of 2026 and will be a member of SCA’s Management Team.

Klas Nilsson has extensive experience in strategic communication, sustainability, and public affairs within large, international, and regulated organizations. He most recently served as Director of Group Communication at Boliden, where he has worked since 2016 with overall responsibility for the Group’s internal and external communications, media relations, and stakeholder engagement. Prior to that, he held the position of Head of Communications at Swedavia and has also worked as a consultant in communication and public affairs.

Klas Nilsson holds a degree in Political Science with a specialization in environmental issues from Umeå University.

“SCA is a company with a clear long-term strategy and a central role in the growing bioeconomy. I look forward, with humility, to working together with my colleagues to further develop sustainability and communications efforts, and to strengthening the understanding of the importance of forests and the forest industry for climate, the economy, and society,” says Klas Nilsson.

The current SVP Sustainability and Communications, Anders Edholm, will, as communicated on January 15, 2026, leave SCA on July 31, 2026, to take up a position at another company.
