Voith has just completed a major rebuild project on Panasa's PM2, located in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
The project included the installation of the SpeedSizer, along with upgrades to the dryer section and the addition of a post-drying system. Each phase required meticulous planning and the dedication of multiple teams, whose collaboration ensured the project's success.
"Throughout the entire journey, our teams worked in an integrated manner, with alignment between engineering, supply chain, field services, and support areas. This teamwork was essential to delivering a highly complex project on time and to a high standard of quality," said Luis Guilherme Bandle, Director of New Lines & Rebuilds at Voith Paper in South America.
During the assembly and start-up phases, Voith's teams worked side-by-side with Panasa’s staff, ensuring transparency in communication and agility in decision-making. The outcome was enthusiastically celebrated by Julio Tobar, Operations Manager at Panasa, who expressed his satisfaction with Voith's performance throughout the project.
"Once again, Voith managed to deliver a robust and high-quality result. We are very pleased with the entire team and their professionalism. It's always a pleasure to work with a team that is committed to excellence, and we remain confident that we will continue to achieve even more positive outcomes," said Julio Tobar.
The project led by Voith’s team in Brazil was supported by colleagues based in Chile. It was this synergy that made the outstanding results of the rebuild possible.
