To demonstrate its innovative paper and tissue testing technologies to the British audience, Leipzig-based company emtec Electronic GmbH is pleased to participate in the Paper & Tissue Show London in the UK. Simultaneously, thanks to their Canadian representative von QC Contrôle, emtec’s measurement solutions will be showcased at the Advanced Design &
Manufacturing (ADM) Montréal. Paper industry experts from both trade shows in November are cordially invited to participate in a professional exchange on cutting-edge developments.
Taking place at Excel London, United Kingdom the first London edition of the Paper & Tissue Show will run from November 11 to 12. The international exhibition brings together manufacturers, suppliers and industry professionals from the paper, tissue, hygiene and converting sectors, providing a platform for discovering new technologies and building business relationships. Representing emtec Electronic at booth number C14 will be Sales Area Managers Mr. Philipp Sievers and Ms. Andrea Maldonado Castellar supported by local partner Solstar and its representative Mr. Richard Hirst. The team
will present four of emtec's established measurement solutions: the FPA Fiber Potential Analyzer, CAS Charge Analyzing System, TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer and EST 12 Surface & Sizing Tester. Visitors will be able to discover the FPA and CAS, which provide information about particle charge and zeta potential in the wet end of paper production. The TSA Tactil
Sensation Analyzer complements the portfolio by objectively determining the tactile properties of tissue products, including surface softness, surface smoothness and stiffness.
The showcase will be completed by the EST 12, which provides important insights into the surface characteristics of paper and board. Together, these instruments demonstrate how precise measurement data can support manufacturers in understanding material characteristics, improving production efficiency and ensuring consistent product quality.
At the same time, the ADM Montréal brings together experts and companies from various manufacturing sectors, offering a platform for exchanging knowledge, presenting technological developments and establishing new business connections. For emtec, the event running from November 10 to 12 provides a valuable opportunity to strengthen its presence in the North American market and connect with key players in the Canadian pulp and paper industry. As a partner of emtecNA, Mr. Patrick Phanhoef from QC Contrôle will represent emtec at booth number 1832, showcasing the company's latest measurement and testing solutions. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about emtec's technologies and
their applications in improving paper quality and optimizing production processes. The showcase will highlight the EST Surface & Sizing Tester and how the device can save costs and materials with its innovative measuring system of converting process-relevant surface parameters of paper and board to predict the gluability, printability and coatability. Unlike conventional testing methods that may not adequately reflect the requirements of subsequent converting processes, the EST determines two essential parameters: surface sizing, also referred to as surface hydrophobia, and surface porosity. Using ultrasonic measurement technology, the instrument analyzes the penetration behaviour of test liquids and determines these properties within a very short, process-relevant timeframe. The results help paper and board manufacturers assess and predict the material's suitability for printing, gluing and coating applications. This makes the EST 12 a valuable tool for quality assurance, troubleshooting and process optimization, helping manufacturers and converters identify
potential processing issues and improve the quality of their end products.
Visitors of both fairs are invited to meet emtec at these two important industry events:
