Cristini S.p.A. has been selected as one of the strategic suppliers for the start-up of PM3 at Shotton Mill (UK), one of the most advanced containerboard projects currently underway in Europe, and part of the Eren Group.

The new PM3 is set to become one of the world's widest packaging paper machines, featuring a 10.1-meter wide forming fabric width, a design speed of 1,700 m/min, and an annual production capacity of approximately 650,000 tonnes of 100% recycled containerboard.

Once fully operational, the project will establish Shotton Mill as one of the largest and most advanced recycled containerboard production sites in Europe and in the United Kingdom.

This achievement also reflects the strong partnership we have built over the years with Modern Karton, another company within the Eren Group. The proven run ability, reliability and performance of our forming, press & dryer fabrics on their machines have demonstrated the value of our technology and reinforced the trust placed in Cristini as a long-term partner.

For many years Cristini has introduced pioneering technologies and patented solutions that have helped shape the paper industry.

Among these milestones was the development of the world's first seamed press fabric (1956), an innovation that transformed felt installation safety and became widely adopted across the industry.

Being selected for a project of this scale and technological significance is a meaningful recognition of the expertise, innovation and customer-focused approach that continue to distinguish Cristini.
