The Sheet Plant Association (SPA) has unveiled a refreshed brand identity, marking an exciting new chapter for the Association and reflecting the significant evolution of the SPA, the Sheet Plant Sector and the wider Corrugated Packaging Industry.

While the organisation’s core principles, values and commitment to members remain unchanged, the new branding represents how far the SPA has progressed in recent years - strengthening its position as a modern, forward-thinking Trade Association at the centre of the UK corrugated converter community.

From delivering world-class Industry events and networking opportunities to developing best practice initiatives, training programmes and strategic Industry partnerships, the SPA has continued to expand both its reach and influence across the sector.

The updated identity has been designed to better reflect:

  • The innovation and modernisation taking place across the Corrugated Industry
  • The professionalism and calibre of today’s SPA events and initiatives
  • The growing reputation of the SPA and its members across the wider packaging community
  • The Association’s ambition to continue attracting new members and future Industry talent
  • The SPA’s increasing focus on engaging younger generations and promoting careers within the packaging and print industries

As part of this continued evolution, the SPA has been placing greater emphasis on showcasing the Corrugated Industry to students, apprentices, graduates and emerging talent - helping challenge outdated perceptions and demonstrate the exciting opportunities available within modern manufacturing, print, packaging, automation and design.

Over the coming months, members and industry contacts will begin to see the refreshed branding rolled out across SPA communications, marketing materials, events and digital platforms.

The SPA emphasises that, while the visual identity is evolving, the organisation’s purpose remains firmly rooted in supporting the Sheet Plant Sector and the wider Corrugated Industry through collaboration, networking, training/personal development, operational improvement, innovation and Industry leadership.

At the heart of the refreshed brand is a new SPA strapline:  “Promoting Business Excellence”.  Alongside its events’ position as:  “The Corrugated Packaging Network”

Tim Gray, Chairman of the SPA, paid tribute to the original SPA logo and imagery, created many years ago with the help of Dan Brunton.  Tim commented:

“We remain extremely fond of the original logo, which has served the Association well for many years.  Special thanks go to Dan Brunton for helping us create an identity that became instantly recognisable within the industry.  As both the Association and the Industry continue to evolve, it felt the right time to modernise our visual identity to better reflect where the SPA is today - and where we are heading next.”

The SPA’s refreshed branding will support future growth, strengthen engagement across the industry and help communicate more clearly the value, professionalism and community that the Association represents in 2026 and beyond.
